"YDF Camp" Donation
The camper-ship funds will be strategically allocated to ensure maximum impact and benefit for the youth participating in our camp programs. Here's a detailed plan on how we intend to utilize these funds:
1. Scholarships and Financial Assistance:
- Providing financial aid to ensure accessibility for youth in juvenile hall or at risk of involvement with the justice system - making camp free for all participants.
2. Program Development:
- Enhancing the quality and scope of our camp programs, including educational workshops, vocational training sessions, and life skills development activities.
3. Staffing and Training:
- Hiring qualified staff, instructors, and special guests who specialize in youth development, counseling, recreational activities, and are professionals in their careers. This includes training them to effectively engage with and support our campers.
4. Supplies and Equipment:
- Purchasing necessary supplies such as camp shirts, journals containing local church information, “Street Light” Bibles, classroom supplies for breakout sessions, snacks, lunches (for volunteers as well), and other essential materials. These supplies will be provided to campers to keep, fostering a sense of ownership and continuity beyond the camp experience.
5. Health and Safety Measures:
- Implementing robust health and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all participants, including medical supplies, emergency preparedness, and appropriate facilities maintenance.
6. Snacks and Program Materials:
- Providing snacks and program materials to support the daily activities and educational sessions during camp, ensuring a well-rounded experience for all participants.
7. Post-Camp Support and Initiatives:
- Allocating funds to initiate after-camp initiatives at YDF (Youth Development Facility) and other partner organizations. These initiatives aim to provide continued support through programs and resources for youth at juvenile hall, ensuring sustained development and support beyond the camp experience.
Providing campers with essential supplies they can keep, such as shirts, journals containing local church information and Bibles, classroom supplies (for break out sessions), along with ongoing support both during and after camp—including snacks and program materials—would greatly benefit our camp. These investments will not only support the camp itself but also foster long-term partnerships and initiate after-camp initiatives at YDF. These initiatives aim to provide continued support through programs and resources for youth at juvenile hall, ensuring sustained development and support beyond the camp experience.
